Ryan Gosling gets his 1920’s cop on in the new “Gangster Squad” trailer!

A film with a little LA Confidential mixed with some Untouchables shows us that the only thing LA Noire was missing was some hip hop music. Following the Los Angeles Police Department trying to keep the East Coast Mafia out of Los Angeles; Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn and Josh Brolin put on their husky hard man voices and grab their tommy guns to bring us a few hours of people burning money and shooting through cinema screens. The film also brings the love interest of Emma Stone, who at the moment seems to be the only girl Gosling has his eyes on, sorry girls. It’s been a while since we’ve had a good ol’ gangster movie pop up on our screens and with a fantastic cast like this one it is no doubt going to be a well acted film. The musically talented of you out there may notice that the trailer does feature Jay Z, showing that the editors working on this have quite an impeccable taste in music, so kudos to them. We all love a bit of gangster over here at Hollywood and in excitement to this movie getting released soon; we pinned down Lenny and covered him in mafia moustaches. We’re kidding. We put a trilby on him too. We don’t want to ruin the next 2 and a half minutes for you, so check out the trailer, and then start thinking up ways to look like these awesome mob gangsters/LA cops. Following the popular Star Wars phrase “May the force be with you”, May 4th has become Star Wars Day, altering the famous phrase to “May the fourth be with you”! This year marks the 35th anniversary of the first Star Wars film ‘Episode IV: A New Hope’ which was released back in May 1977. The Star Wars sixology tells the story of a young slave being brought up as a Jedi, and the adventures of him, his son and the Jedi Order. The Star Wars franchise has expanded, with the films alone generating nearly $5 billion at the box office, making it the third highest grossing film series of all time. Isn’t it amazing? It’s definitely generated enough interest over here at Hollywood that the staff are ranting and raving over the upcoming Star Wars Day, making sure they all have their Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, and Princess Leia costumes ready to dress up for the big celebrations! We all love a good celebration down here at Hollywood and that’s why we’re getting pumped up for St. Georges Day! As the patron Saint of England, St. George legendarily slayed a dragon, and we here at Hollywood believe that Monday April 23rd is a cause for celebration! St. Georges Day will be a huge celebration worldwide; with people sporting the infamous white and red cross flag on their faces and their hair, as well as dressing their rooms and streets up with it! Hollywood ‘just for fun’ Grand Opening a great success!

On Friday the 6th April, the countdown ended and Zombies flocked to the doors of Hollywood ‘just for fun’, banging their blood stained hands on the windows, clawing to get in!! Led by Thriller Michael Jackson and an evil zombie-bob square pants, the Zombies came from all directions, scaring the public, with the soul purpose of getting into the new store before anyone else!
The store was swiftly saved by a variety of superheroes and characters who were enjoying a nice cuppa in the café next door, taking the zombies out with their laser swords and guns. It wasn’t until all the zombies lay defeated on the pavement outside the new shop that the ribbon was cut, proving the characters and superheroes victorious!
We had a stampede of people come down to enjoy the big day, from our friends at the SO16 Troopers to zombie sailors, nurses and even a giant cockroach! The new stores ribbon was cut at midday, and the awaiting public flocked in to have a jolly good look around at all the new fancy dress costumes, masks, make-up and accessories on sale! We were so happy to re-open the locals much loved fancy dress shop and look forward to giving back to Southampton’s night life! Thank you to everyone who took part in the fantastic opening day, it was great to see so many people enjoying the new store and having fun with fancy dress. Prelaunch Promotion at Southampton!

Rumour has it, the Hollywood Zombies have grown into a bigger pack, and they’re going to attack the new store when it opens on Good Friday! The staff, kitting out the new store in Queensway, Southampton, heard wind of this rumour and ventured into the stock room to grab Lenny, dressed up in some fancy outfits we found, and ventured out into the streets to alert the local public of the Zombie Hunt! The countdown is still going, will less than 1 day to go until we think the zombies are going to attack, so we though it would be great time to let the public know and see if we can get any more superheroes to come and beat the zombies when they arrive!
