We accept credit and debit card payment via Visa, MasterCard or Debit card or alternatively you may send a cheque or postal order. (Goods will not be dispatched until funds have cleared and should be made payable to ‘Hollywood’)
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.
You can order on-line with your card on our secure site or you may order via phone, fax or through the post. We reserve the right to decide when confirmation for an order is accepted by us that is until the goods are picked awaiting dispatch and payment is taken.
Any order received after 3.00pm or any order placed over the weekend or Bank Holiday will be shipped the next business day.

Fancy Dress - Postage and Packaging
Our standard carriage cost is £7.99 for Royal Mail 1st class recorded which can take up to 3 days. An optional extra is an express guaranteed next day UPS courier which is fast delivery and fully tracked - to UK Mainland only every working day. Saturday delivery is available through the courier at an extra cost or you may choose Royal Mail Saturday delivery. Please contact us for further information and costings if you wish to have a timed delivery with the courier.

Please allow 2 working days from the time you place your order for the order to be dispatched. This may vary at peak times of year, so you should plan well in advance if your party goods are required for a particular event.
If the goods are required urgently, they can be dispatched via the UPS express guaranteed delivery service and we will advise you of the additional cost before dispatch. If for any reason we cannot deliver the order in time, we will contact you and you will then have the option to cancel all or part of the order. Responsibility will not be accepted for consequential loss or damage occasioned by errors or delay in delivery.

When you use Special Express Delivery™ Next Day you can claim compensation up to £500 or the value of the item, whichever is the lower.
If you require your order within 2 working days we recommend you use this special delivery options. All parcels are posted by 3.00pm each day; orders after 3.00pm will be processed the following day. Delivery dates quoted above are based on working days (Mon-Fri). Weekend delivery is not guaranteed. This delivery service is insured up to £500.

Mail an item on a Friday and we can guarantee next day delivery even though it's a Saturday. Items sent to the following business types are excluded from the Saturday Guarantee: Banks, Building Societies, Travel Agents, Jewellers and Post Office Branches

All packages sent by Hollywood will need signing for.
We recognize that some events are last minute hence we provide express options, however when possible we suggest that you leave a couple of days grace so not to be disappointed. We send our parcels by Royal Mail or by UPS courier. All items purchased from www.hollywood.uk.com are made pursuant to their shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon collection by the appointed courier.
Urgent Orders-Timed Delivery
If orders are required urgently and you require a timed delivery ie next day by 9am this is possible but you must phone us on 01202 532331 or 532262 by 2pm the day before. (Please note this option is not available on web exclusive products). Parcels will require a signature on delivery.
If any order is required overseas urgently, this is possible, we use the express track and trace service which you need to contact us for the shipping costs.
Collect In Store Policy
If you live or work close to one of the shops either Castle Lane West store, Post Office Road store or Queensway in Southampton store, you may purchase and collect your order from us within our normal opening hours of Monday to Saturday, 10.00am to 5.30pm. Closed Sundays.
You must supply credit card details and choose the option to ‘collect in store' and choose the relevant store. Please always contact your local store before collection to ensure the goods are ready for your collection.

If an unwanted item is returned to the store within 7 days you may incur a 15% re-stocking fee. The item must be re-saleable and with all packaging and parts present. Please note we will not accept returns or issue refunds on the following items: Wigs, wig caps, facial hair, make-up, teeth, hosiery, contact lenses, underwear and other hygiene products.
If the merchandise arrives too late for your event, please e mail us to advise of your wish to return the items. Please return it using the instructions outlined below. If Hollywood, or our couriers are at fault in anyway we will refund the full cost of the Merchandise + P&P. There are some circumstance when neither Hollywood nor the couriers acting on our behalf are at fault, for example; if the customer has selected an incorrect delivery address, postage option, or was absent during delivery. If this is the case and the customer wishes to return their order they will be refunded for the total value of the merchandise minus the cost of postage paid.
On-Line Returns Policy and refund Policy Exclusions
We want you to be completely satisfied. If you're unhappy with your purchase however, you may return unwanted on-line order items within 7 working days [*] for a full refund.(*exclusions apply)
*No website order returns will be accepted without prior authorization. You must e mail us to receive authorisation. You have the right to cancel your order within seven working days of receipt of goods. Notification must be in writing and the goods should be returned in a new condition, unused or unworn and in the original packaging. If the item is faulty it will be inspected by our own QC department for any signs of wear or sabotage. The cost of return is the responsibility of the customer. We cannot accept responsibility for returned goods if they are lost in transit to us. It is the customer's responsibility to obtain a free Proof of Posting Certificate or adequately insure the goods against loss. We try to make refunds within one week of receipt of goods back to us though promise to make all refunds within 30 calendar days.
If you no longer want your item or it is the wrong size please e mail us via the contacts tab to receive authorisation. You must notify us immediately and return the item within 7 days of receipt. The cost of the return is the responsibility of the customer and no return postage costs will be refunded.
If you wish to exchange an item you have purchased through the website please contact us via e mail to receive authorisation and send the item back within 7 days of receipt. The replacement item will be despatched on receipt of re-posting costs.

All items will be inspected upon their return. We regret that goods cannot be refunded where there is clear evidence of wear, traces of body odour, cigarette smoke, makeup, fake tan and/or perfume. We kindly request, that you treat all unwanted items in your possession how you would wish to receive them.
We cannot accept returns for refund if such items have been opened from a sealed package (Costumes do not typically come in sealed packages and you can try them on). All items will be inspected on their return to our warehouse.
Some costumes may include stockings, underwear, masks, wings, wigs and/or other accessories. These items are supplied in sealed packets separate to the costume. We strongly recommend that customers try on the costume first. Unfortunately we are unable to process refunds under any circumstances where items have been removed from sealed packaging.
Any returned goods that we receive which are outside of this Returns Policy will be defined as 'In Dispute'. Such In Dispute items will not be refunded. A reason for this decision will be provided. We are happy to re-ship such In Dispute items back to you, otherwise they will be destroyed within 91 calendar days from their receipt back to us. If you wish the item resent to you, we will ask for a nominal fee to cover additional shipping costs. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Please note that we work in full accordance for consumer protection with the Distance Selling Regulations Act (2000) and we respect and adhere to all of your customer rights in compliance with this Act.
* In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations Act we will not refund the customers cost of postage to return a product to us - unless the product is proven to be faulty.
We choose our stock carefully, only carrying those lines which we consider to be up to our high standards. However, due to the nature of our products, we are unable to offer guarantees. All images which portray costumes or items are used with the permission of the Copyright holder. Hollywood make every effort to maintain clear descriptions and endeavour to use such 'up to date' images that are representative and truly reflect the item to be purchased. However Hollywood cannot be held responsible for [a] any perception you may have in product representation and [b] the manufacturer's obligation of a right to change product specification including colour or design at any time and without notice. It is also important to note that some colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen to the product ultimately received, depending on your monitor screen resolution and colour/display settings. We are aware that our site looks different on different PC's using different browsers and having different colour and screen resolution settings.
Hollywood, its employees and directors shall be under no liability to any defect arising from; fair wear and tear, negligence, or abnormal working conditions. This liability disclaimer does not affect your rights as outlined by the Sale of Goods Act 1979.
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the personal information which you give us such as name, address, phone number, email address and credit card details is used solely for the purpose of processing your order and to provide you with the best possible service. Credit Card details will only be requested in the case of telephone orders.
For your total security, all our online payments are processed by Sage Pay. Hollywood does not see or have access to your card details at any time.

All the information we collect will be held securely and will not be disclosed to third parties. It is also not our policy to send marketing or unsolicited emails to our customers at any time. We ask for your contact telephone number and email address so that we can contact you if necessary about your order. This would only be if we wanted to verify details of your order, if we were out of stock of items you had ordered and wished to discuss alternatives, or to confirm delivery details.
