Glastonbury FestivalThe festival of a lifetime is coming to a field near you this summer! From Wednesday 22nd- 26th June party like you’ve never partied before at Glastonbury Festival!

Glastonbury Festival

Every year the small Somerset town of Glastonbury with less than 9,000 residents springs to life with hundreds of thousands of visitors coming to enjoy all that the festival has to offer. Worthy Farm becomes a hive of activity with huge live bands and artists display the best the UK has to offer.

Glastonbury Festival has come an awful long way from its humble beginning back in 1970 with an attendance of 1,500 people and £1 tickets (which included free milk from the farm). Nowadays there are thousands of acts, let alone attendees and it has become the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world!

What’s Happening In 2016?

This year the famous Pyramid stage will play host to Muse, Adele, Coldplay and ZZ Top to name a few. With so many names on the bill it’s hard to pick out favourites so why not try and see a bit of everything? There are 25 different designated areas to explore so there will be plenty to keep you entertained over the 5 day stretch.

From the serene tranquillity of the Green Fields to the high octane raves of Shangri-La, there will be a new home for every Glastonbury Festival goer. If you are taking your little ones there will even be tonnes for them to do too! The Kidz Field is a festival all its own with big names from children’s entertainment.

The most important thing to remember about Glastonbury Festival is that it is a place to be free, enjoy yourself and leave your schedules and inhibitions behind. Go with the flow and be whoever you like for a few days without and pressure of social norms. Let the music and art sink into your skin and truly feel it. This could be the best weekend of your life!
