Ringwood carnival

Ringwood Carnival has come around once more so make sure you get down to the humble market town on Saturday 19th! There will be so much to do for all the family and of course a parade in the afternoon and evening to see.

What To Expect From Ringwood Carnival?

The fun kicks off at midday on the Bickerly Green with miniature steam engines, charity and trade stalls selling all kinds of goodies, food and sweets vendors face painting and street demonstrations. The afternoon parade will begin at 2pm and travel from Parkside industrial estate travelling through the town high street to the market square where it will turn and come back via Meeting House Lane. This year’s parade will see majorettes and marching bands, steam engines, with plenty of local businesses and charities and even Dragon of the South! The carnival Queen and Princesses will also be on parade in a beautiful horse drawn carriage. The town comes alive for the evening procession at 7:15 and there will be a whole selection of new and exciting entries to see too so don’t miss it! The whole event is rounded off by a spectacular fireworks display that takes place back on the Bickerly Green from 9:30pm.

Ringwood Carnival may not be the biggest on the South coast, but it is one of our favourites! We take part every year because it is just so much fun and has such a fantastic atmosphere. Be sure to keep your eye out for the Hollywood van and crew as we will be handing out vouchers! If you need some last minute costumes, accessories or decorations for you parade entry then pop in and see us at either of our two Bournemouth stores or even our brand new Poole store in the Dolphin Shopping Centre!
