What better way to spend the Easter Bank Holiday than trying some of the best beer the UK has to offer?!Beer Festival

From the 3rd to 5th April the Bournemouth International Centre is hosting The Big Bournemouth Beer Festival! Now in its 6th Year this beer festival is certainly becoming a spring staple for Bournemouth and we expect to see it return for many more years to come.

Come and sample a huge selection of real ales from across the UK all under one roof. There will be a comical selection of novelty beers to try too, not to mention fruity ciders, perry and delicate wines. Food stalls and bar snacks will also be available on site to soak up all the alcohol!

Beer O’clock?

Each Day will have plenty of excitement to offer so why not make a weekend of it? Friday’s event will run from 6:30pm-11:30pm, which certainly beats a night at the pub when you have hundreds more beverages to taste! On Saturday there will be a leisurely afternoon affair running from 12pm-5pm, giving you a chance to recover from the night before and then starting up again for another 6:30-11:30 run in the evening. But that’s not all folks! To wind down the weekends fun and games, there will be a “Sup-Up Sunday” event which will be completely free starting at 12pm!

Admission fees to each event include a souvenir glass to remind you where you are after you’ve sampled a few too many ales as well as a tasting guide and £1.50 worth of drinks vouchers to spend on some tasty tipples. This does exclude Sunday, of course, where there is no admission fee.

Entertainment

It’s not just fine beers to venture out for though as there will be plenty of local talent on display all weekend. Friday night will see folk-rock band Black Water County take to the stage to perform some of their Celtic-punk covers and original music for the festival goers. Saturday will host The Jimmy Hillbillies in the afternoon and The Jack Ratts in the evening. Sunday will be the one to watch for entertainment, however, with the very first beer festival open mic event!
