Captain Jack Sparrow is the main protagonist of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series and actor Johnny Depp based the character on guitarist Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones and the cartoon character Pepe le Pew. He is a witty, bold and brazen pirate who is often drunk on rum, stumbling and swaggering around and mumbling incoherently. He is likely to use his charm and wit to get out of a dangerous situation and he will fight only when necessary.
