Grab you passport and a bag were off to Malmo Sweden! Eurovision 2024 is here again. This year it is being hosted by Sweden’s third largest city. Known as an international hub Malmo residents come from 180 countries, speak 150 different languages. The diversity of the city makes it the perfect choice to host the 68^th Eurovision contest.

The song contest was first hosted in Monaco Spain in 1956. This is longest running music competition in the world. All the acts come from European countries with the exception of Australia who were invited to join in 2015 due to their close links with England and Israel due to their membership of the European Broadcasting Union. The competition follows the format of 2 semi-finals followed by the all-important grand final where the winner will be named.

No passport? No problem! We don’t actually have to go to Sweden to be involved with this long running spectacle. Get involved from the comfort of your sofa with the event televised. Or why not throw a party and get dressed up for the night?
