Have you ever looked at your Hallowe’en costume and thought that something was missing? If so, you’re not alone. A Hallowe’en costume – like any other sort of costume – would be very boring indeed without the inclusion of a few choice bits and pieces. A vampire costume without pointy teeth would lack the appropriate bite (one might even say that it would suck), while an axe-wielding maniac who doesn’t wield an axe would simply be a maniac – and, well, you don’t need a pun to demonstrate how underwhelming that would be.
