With the weather getting chilly and the days getting shorter, Bournemouth transforms from a beach resort to a winter wonderland! The lights are going up, the Moose Bar has landed and Christmas spirit is all around.

What To Expect From Our Christmas Market?

Bournemouth’s annual Christmas market is always alive with different sights and smells and brimming with new and unusual curiosities. Inspired by Germany’s traditional “Weihnachtsmarkt” you will see row upon row of little Alpine chalets selling seasonal treats and treasures from around the world.  From the 12th November right up to the 3rd January you can indulge in a festive shopping experience like no other.

This year will certainly be no different. At the heart of the Christmas market will be the famous Moose Bar, an Alpine lodge style outdoor bar topped with a lovable joke telling moose! A festive boot full of mulled wine is a must for both the locals and tourists alike. The square also hosts the town’s favourite German Bratwurst House, serving up delicious food from a very impressive looking swing grill.  While you’re enjoying your festive fuel, why not take advantage of the free entertainment at the open air stage. There will be plenty to see for all ages including choirs, local bands and even exciting fire shows!

If you are in need of some unique Christmas gifts then Bournemouth Christmas market has plenty to offer you.
