Following the popular Star Wars phrase “May the force be with you”, May 4th has become Star Wars Day, altering the famous phrase to “May the fourth be with you”! This year marks the 35th anniversary of the first Star Wars film ‘Episode IV: A New Hope’ which was released back in May 1977. The Star Wars sixology tells the story of a young slave being brought up as a Jedi, and the adventures of him, his son and the Jedi Order. The Star Wars franchise has expanded, with the films alone generating nearly $5 billion at the box office, making it the third highest grossing film series of all time. Isn’t it amazing? It’s definitely generated enough interest over here at Hollywood that the staff are ranting and raving over the upcoming Star Wars Day, making sure they all have their Darth Vader,Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, and Princess Leia costumes ready to dress up for the big celebrations!
