August The Month of Festivals

Summer is in full swing and with the lifting of restrictions means that festivals are back.

Lots of local festivals are happening over the next few weekends, from the fairy festival in the new forest to pride festivals. Here on the south coast we are festival mad.

Fairy Festival 14th - 15th August

After being away for a year The New Forest Fairy Festival returns to Burley. Known for its connections with witches, Burley is the perfect place to host this festival.

Every fairy needs wings, and here at Hollywood we have a large selection of wings in stock.

Not just about the fairies, the festival celebrates all things magical, from dragons to unicorns, so grab your magical accessories and dress to impress.

Lets Rock Southampton

On the same weekend Southampton is host to lets rock. Back to the 80's we go for this festival, always a popular one. So don the legwarmers and shell suits and party. With the likes of Wet Wet Wet and Marc Almond you are in for a great party Southampton.

Back to the 90's at the O2 Academy Bournemouth.

Saturday 21st of August sees Bournemouth go back to the 90's at the O2 Academy, relive the hey day of the 1990's clubbing scene with this massive event.

Pride is back in the south

Over the weekend of the 20th and 21st we have Bourne Free, pride event in Bournemouth, and on the 28th we have Southampton Pride. Double the pride double the fun.

Well that is something to do every weekend in August. We do live in the best part of the country. With camp bestival at the beginning of the month and the big one at the end August is definitely Festival month.

The big one I hear you question, none other than the Bournemouth Seven's where sport meets music, watch out for the next blog, so big it needs a blog of its own.
