    Bournemouth Air FestivalThe best family event of the summer is back for the 8th year running and we couldn’t be more excited! Bournemouth Air Festival brings you a long weekend of the best air, land and sea displays in the country from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st August. Bournemouth Air Festival Earlier this year, in May, Bournemouth Air Festival was awarded gold by Visit England and is officially the best tourism event in the whole country! If that wasn’t enough to draw you in then just check out what they have to offer you in 2016! The Red Arrows have been confirmed for all 4 days of the festival once again! They are a firm family favourite year in, year out, so it’s only right to have them headline Bournemouth Air festival. The RN Black Cats helicopter display team will also be performing over the weekend along with the Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team and the mighty RAF Typhoon. New for 2016, the Swiss Air Force Super Puma Display Team will also be joining us! Since smashing The Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with their hit Waterloo, Abba went from strength to strength. They transformed over night from a little known Swedish pop group to an international sensation! Even 40 years on they remain a household name worldwide and the songs are still as popular today. Who doesn’t know the words to “Dancing Queen” and “Take a Chance on Me”? FromBourne Free the 10th-12th July the people of Bournemouth come together to celebrate LGBT community in a way only they know how! What Is Bourne Free? In 2004 Bourne Free was created when news spread that an organisation was coming to Bournemouth to preach that homosexuality is wrong. The gay community banded together to stand against them and celebrate their diversity and to hold Bournemouth’s first gay Pride march.     Come and join the largest sport and music festival in the world! It’s back and bigger and better than ever! I am, of course, talking about Bournemouth 7'sBournemouth 7’s Festival. What Is Bournemouth 7's? Every year on the last Bank Holiday weekend of May, thousands gather for the biggest festival Bournemouth has to offer and this year will certainly be no exception! Over 30,000 visitors attend Bournemouth 7’s each year and it’s easy to see why. With a whole array of sporting events for local teams to take part in and a huge party atmosphere, it’s every student’s dream! Bournemouth 7’s Festival was launched in 2008 by Diamond Sporting Group and very quickly became known as “the sporting Glastonbury” There are almost 400 teams going head to head in rugby, netball, hockey and dodge ball tournaments so there will be nonstop sporting action all weekend.
