Spider-Man has long been on the receiving end of jokes, memes and jibes for being outcast by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well all of that is about to change! Spider-Man Homecoming In 2017 Spider-Man Homecoming will see Spidey's first MCU movie of his own! It has also been announced that it will feature Iron Man after Robert Downey Jr. signed a deal to be in the movie. Sony and Marvel were reportedly keen to get Downey Jr. on board for Spider-Man after seeing their chemistry in Captain America Civil War. Michael Keaton was rumoured to be playing the main villain of the film, but unfortunately these have been dashed. So who will be the main antagonist of the new movie? Previous Spider-man films have used up a lot of the main villains, but will we be seeing something new with this release? Captain America finds himself on the other side of the fence when collateral damage from an incident involving the Avengers calls for politicians take action in restricting their activity. The team are divided into an all out Civil War and you can witness it in cinemas from Friday 29th April! Captain America The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been expanding, merging and crossing over at every turn and for Captain America: Civil War we see a whole host of characters come together! We will see Falcon, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, Black Panther and even Spiderman will finally be included! The new Captain America film shows him heading a new team of Avengers who are continuing to keep humanity safe. After yet another incident causes collateral damage, pressure is mounted to create a system where superheroes would be held accountable for their actions. This new found status-quo splits the Avengers team down the middle and they are forced to take sides, with Captain America who wishes to remain free of oppression and Iron Man who has curiously decided to support the overseeing. The biggest comic convention in Britain is coming and it is going to be awesome! While Bournemouth has done well taking on its own film and comic con event, it is simply dwarfed by the magnitude of the MCM Comic Con in London. There will be stalls as far as the eye can see selling memorabilia, comics, signed prints and plenty of handmade goodies too. So who has seen the Deadpool movie in the cinema over Valentine’s weekend? I know I did and I LOVED it! If you want to see a film that will have you crying with laughter the whole way through then buy your tickets now. It will be showing in all good cinemas so there’s no excuse to miss it! Deadpool We’ve seen some glimpses of Deadpool here and there in the X-Men movies and it was about time his story was told. And boy did they give it to you straight! It’s R-Rated, there’s gore and the comical timing will have you howling. What more could you ask for from the most controversial hero/anti-hero in the Marvel universe? Ryan Reynolds had been waiting for 11 years to make this movie and his enthusiasm certainly shines through. The advertising alone has been a huge hit with the pubic with funny Valentines style images with Deadpool sprawled on a fur rug in front of an open fire and making hearts with his hands. BBC’s Children In Need is an annual charity event designed to help children nationwide. Money donated by volunteers and fundraisers goes towards funding activities, events and schemes for disabled children and disadvantaged young people. Most people know BBC Children In Need by the telethon shown on BBC One each November. This year it will be broadcasted live from Albert Square, famously the set of hit British soap Eastenders. Sir Terry Wogan will be hosting as he has been since the first televised appeal in 1980 and will of course be joined by everyone’s favourite bear, Pudsey! Pudsey has been the poster child for Children In Need since 1985 when first created by BBC graphic designer Joanna Ball.
