So far the new Ghostbusters movie has received a very mixed reception of praise and criticism. The first movie trailer was notoriously the most disliked YouTube has seen! We’ll just have to wait until this Friday (15th July) to find out for ourselves if this will be a huge hit or a massive flop! Ghostbusters In 1984 the world was given the gift of Ghostbusters with the original movie starring acting legends Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver. The Ray Parker Jr. theme tune “Who You Gonna Call?” was catchy, the acting was comical and the action was spot on. What more could you want? Well a sequel of course! While it wasn’t as big as the original, it still received high praise. Since then, it has kept a strong cult following and merchandise has always been available with that iconic logo. Now everybody knows the classic arcade game of Tetris. It was a huge hit in the 80’s thanks to Gameboy. Well now they are turning it into a silver screen movie!... Batman Vs Superman So if you’ve seen Batman Vs Superman you will know that it is basically just one giant DC Easter Egg! With so many links and hints to other characters and comics it’s hard to know where to start. The Robin suit, for instance, heavily implies that he was killed off by the Joker. Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) is seen to be opening meta-human files of Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg in the order of the films upcoming releases. Batman’s Knightmare scene hints that Darkseid will soon make an appearance as it contains both his parademons and his Omega emblem.  Even Green Lantern’s love interest, Carol Ferris, has a cameo in the new movie. So who has seen the Deadpool movie in the cinema over Valentine’s weekend? I know I did and I LOVED it! If you want to see a film that will have you crying with laughter the whole way through then buy your tickets now. It will be showing in all good cinemas so there’s no excuse to miss it! Deadpool We’ve seen some glimpses of Deadpool here and there in the X-Men movies and it was about time his story was told. And boy did they give it to you straight! It’s R-Rated, there’s gore and the comical timing will have you howling. What more could you ask for from the most controversial hero/anti-hero in the Marvel universe? Ryan Reynolds had been waiting for 11 years to make this movie and his enthusiasm certainly shines through. The advertising alone has been a huge hit with the pubic with funny Valentines style images with Deadpool sprawled on a fur rug in front of an open fire and making hearts with his hands. Daniel Craig will be returning to our big screens as Britain’s most charismatic action hero, James Bond, for the fourth time running! On October 26th cinemas across the country will be full to rafters as people flock to see Spectre. Since 1962 people have been kept on the edge of their seats by thrilling action, amazing gadgets and a sprinkling of gorgeous women. Sean Connery was the first in a long line of hunky actors to play the daring super spy and women wanted him, men wanted to be him. Roger Moore held the 007 title for the most movies with a total of 7 under his belt, let’s see if Mr. Craig can rival him! Spectre will be the 24th James Bond movie to be released, which is a real testament to the staying power of such a strong and cunning character. We can’t wait to see what will be next for Mr Bond!
